§ 3-2. Entire city constituted a bird and squirrel sanctuary.

  • The territory embraced within the city is hereby constituted a bird and squirrel sanctuary; and it shall be unlawful for any person to kill, inure, harm or molest any bird or squirrel, or to destroy, injure, rob, or molest the eggs or nests or breeding places of any birds or squirrels within such area. This section shall not apply to destructive birds as defined in section 50-1-30 of the Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, with the exception of the eagle, to which this section shall apply; nor shall such section apply to the starling or the pigeon.
